The apartment is located in a 1960’s building with a reinforced concrete structure. It was left pretty much untouched for 4 decades by the previous owner. I was asked to rethink completely the layout to accommodate the needs of a contemporary family. This is why I literally tore down most of the flat leaving only the lead bearing pillars and begun to revisit the whole space according the new needs. The plan is designed in a flexible way, already foreseeing that the TV room will become the second child’s bedroom and the area of the kitchen is a self contained mini-apartment, with independent access for the help.
